So I've dove head first into this re-model of my house. Sort of. I'm realizing I have to take it a day at a time and while I wish I could be done with it in one week, it just ain't gonna happen. We are nearly finished with project #1 - refinishing side tables for our bedroom. I found these sad little guys at a garage sale where the lady who was selling them had tried to refinish them. It didn't work out so great for her, but fortunately for me, they are turning out beautiful. I'll have the before and after pictures up this week!
Next project will be my dining table. My husband's sort of dreading this one, it has every possibility to be a pain, but the end result is going to be fabulous, I just know it!! Speaking of my husband, poor guy and soccer just don't get along very well...2 weeks ago he came home with a bashed up toe and had to go get holes poked in his toenail to remove the blood and pressure built up under it. Gross, I know. Then last week he came home hobbling, once again. This time however, it was his good ankle he'd hurt but thankfully it turned out only to be a sprain! Phew! He's able to walk a bit on it already but it looks awful. Sort of wishing he'd break up with soccer, but I'm realistic and know that's not going to happen anytime soon...SIGH.......
Happy 4th of July to everyone!! We'll be relaxing, doing a little bit of re-organizing, and barbecuing of course! Then it's off to the beach on Tuesday as the annual July "beach days" return... SO excited for those. More to come this week and a happy and safe holiday to all of you! XOXO
