Ultrasound day!

We had our actual "doctor" ultrasound this morning and all went well. The baby looks very good and healthy, so that's a relief. He was so cute, he had his hands on his face again and even gave us a big yawn. I'll try to get my hands on a scanner so I can post the pictures we got. There was a PERFECT profile picture, as well as one of "the goods". The boy is proud, that's all I have to say! And so is his father...

Weekend in the Snow

So, unfortunately we couldn't find our camera before we left and I don't have any pictures to post. :( I was very sad. But I figured I'd tell you all about our "weekend in the snow" experience anyway. We went up to Twin Peaks, to the Conference Center, and they had like over 3 feet of snow. It was BEAUTIFUL, and this was the boys' first REAL time in the snow (Josiah was only 2 when we were in New Jersey and wasn't too into it). This time however, was a whole new experience for him. He LOVED it and was a crazy animal, rolling around in the snow! Daniel wasn't too sure, he was pretty much glued to Cisco's hip the entire time. He did go sledding a couple times and got a face full of snow, so after that he was done! Josiah kept getting stuck in snow drifts, he'd fall all the up to his chest it was so deep! Just to give you an idea of how deep, the volleyball court had snow all the way up to the net! Yes, crazy. Anyway, we had a great time, now I'm just hoping to be able to see some actual flakes fall this year... it's been so long...

Yes, I'm Josiah's mother

So, yeah I was showing Cisco and Gabo my last post last night, when they both started cracking up. They were like, "The song goes, 'Worthy is the LAMB', not Worthy is the MAN!" So...there you go. I just let the whole world know where Josiah gets it from! :)

Oh, the things kids say!

I just had to share this, cause I was laughing hysterically and actually crying I was laughing so hard! So I turned some Christmas music on today cause I'm decorating and getting in the "Christmas Spirit". :) And the song "Agnus Dei" came on, you know the one that says "Worthy is the Man" like a hundred times. Well, at the end of the song, Josiah comes in the kitchen, where I was making dinner, and goes, "Mom, why does she keep saying 'Wall-E is the Man?'" I lost it, and for those of you who don't know, Wall-e is the new Pixar movie that just came out about a little robot. It's Josiah's favorite right now. Anyway, hope it was as funny for you as it was for me! :)

It's a BOY!!

Well, it looks like Cisco's keepin with the family trad. of 3 boys! :) We both really felt like it was another boy, and the lady could tell right away what it was. She triple-checked, just to make sure it wasn't the umbilical cord or anything, but it was really obvious it was a "he". The place we went to was beautiful and we had a wonderful experience. I wish everyone lived down here so they could get an ultrasound at this place! We payed for the "gender scan", which is basically a 10-min. scan in 2-D to see what you're having. They also have 3-D and 4-D packages, which are great to do when you're farther along, but are like triple the price. But the lady gave us a few
3-D pics anyway and showed a lot of the ultrasound in 3-D! It was so nice! I started bawling pretty much right away, not from being sad AT ALL, but because it was wonderful to see him. I feel like I fell in love last night. :) He was so sweet in there and of course any feelings of "I hope it's a girl", vanish when you see a beautiful, healthy baby kicking around. I really think I want to save up for the 3-D/4-D ultrasound, cause this was the best ultrasound I'd ever experienced. At the doctor one they are so consumed with looking at the brain and bladder, they can't and don't tell you what they're seeing. But with this, all they do is tell you exactly where everything is and what you're looking at, so you're able to actually see and enjoy it. So...Yippee and Yay for boys!!
P.S ~ ok, I know the 3-D looks a little alien-ish, but you can clearly see his arm and little fingers, which is pretty cool!

Tomorrow's the BIG DAY!

That's right, we find out tomorrow what we are having! While most people think (or hope) we're having a girl, I lean more toward another boy. So we shall see, tomorrow the mystery will be solved! :) Stay tuned for the final verdict...

Home, Blessed Home!

Wow, didn't realize it's been a MONTH since I've posted anything! I'll try to stay more on top of this, I promise. That is, if anyone still reads this! :) So, we went to Puerto Rico for 10 days and I thought I'd post some pictures from that. We had a nice time, the boys had a blast going to the beach and hiking through jungle-like backyards. Fun times, though I'm very glad to be home. Now the fun part of jet-lag and getting back on California time...
We had another appointment this morning and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It took the doctor awhile to find it, which is always a little nerve-wracking, but there it was! Josiah and Daniel were with us and Josiah keeps telling everyone that he heard "the baby's feet" this morning! :) I guess "beat" and "feet" rhyme, so I'm thinking that's where that came from. Ha ha!
Daniel was less than impressed and didn't have a clue what was happening.
As you can see from the photo, my stomach is, needless to say, HUGE. I look more like 35 weeks pregnant, not 13. Makes me a little worried....

The other photo (the jungle looking ones) were taken in Cisco's uncle's BACKYARD. Yes, that's right. Talk about amazing!

First Appointment

Okay, so our internet was out of commission for the last 2 weeks! Ugh! But all is well now, so we'll be able to blog again! :) We had our first appointment about the time our internet stopped working. We got to see the baby for about 3 seconds, it was the shortest ultrasound ever! But all looks well so far and at least we saw it was there. We'll hopefully find out what we're having somewhere in the first week of December. There's a new place in Murrieta that does the 4-D ultrasounds for about $50 and they can tell what you're having at 15 weeks!
I've been feeling much better lately, still tired, but the nausea has subsided thank God! I'm sure due to everyone's prayers, I was a little worried about our trip to Puerto Rico and me feeling like I was going to puke the whole time! So, I'm excited about going again, we leave in a little more than week and a half. Can't believe we're going!

Sick

Well, doesn't look like I'll be having another "Daniel" pregnancy. :( The morning sickness has struck, which is actually more like all day and all night sickness. Boo hoo. Looks like I'm actually having a "real" pregnancy this time around!

Apple Picking

We went apple picking today at Oak Glen, an event I wait all year for! It's such a cute place and the kids absolutely love it. The only downside was it was blazing hot and there were way too many people, but we enjoyed ourselves despite that. Josiah was so cute, he was really into the apple picking. He would look for the "perfect" one before picking it. Daniel, on the other hand, along with his dad and uncle, enjoyed throwing the apples that were on the ground at each other a whole lot more!

So Cute!

This I just had to put on here because it is my favorite picture of them. This was at Brandy's wedding, so they're all dressed up in their tuxes. They were quite the hit, let me tell you. All I heard that whole night was how gorgeous my kids are! :)

Life with boys...

So I just thought I'd share with you all what a typical night in the Gonzalez house looks like. I guess you just learn to hold your breath and pray no one gets hurt! Never a dull moment, that's for sure. The other picture I just snapped really quick while I had both of them there and smiling, and I thought it was funny cause Daniel's hair looked pretty girly. Don't worry, it usually doesn't!! He's got quite the amazing shag though...

1st Appointment

We have our first prenatal appointment set for October 10th. It seems a year away, I don't know why but it feels like I've been pregnant forever already! Maybe because I found out so soon... anyway, really looking forward to it! My due date should be around May 27th - ish, so it's a possibility it may share a birthday with Courtney or Bradley! :)
The hospital here has been building a huge new Maternity/Baby ward, with 27 private rooms. We found out that it should be open around the middle of January so that means I'll be able to deliver in the new hospital! Considering that the hospitals here haven't been known for their great care and most people's delivery experiences have been less than hoped for, this makes me very excited. My experience with Josiah wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't "great" either. Just the fact that I have a higher chance of getting a private room is enough for me!

Baby #3!

As most of you have heard by now, we are expecting again! We are so excited and so are the boys. Josiah is insistent that it's a girl and Daniel, of course, goes along with whatever Josiah says. So we'll see. I know once the baby is here, however, they will be thrilled with whatever, whether a sister or a brother. I'm a little tired and hormonal, but other than that I feel great. No sickness or nausea as of yet!
